Charles Henry Clark was born in Missouri. He marched to Texas in November of 1835 in Capt. Thomas Breece’s company of New Orleans Greys and took part in the Siege of Béxar. Clark died in the battle of the Alamo on March 6, 1836.
Jackson, William Daniel
William Daniel Jackson was born 1807 in Ireland. He took part in the Siege of Béxar and later served in the Alamo garrison, possibly as a lieutenant of Capt. William R. Carey’s artillery company. He died in the battle of the Alamo on March 6, 1836.
Mitchasson, Edward F.
Dr. Edward F. Mitchasson was born 1806 in Virginia. He entered the service of Texas on November 30, 1835, as a private in Captain Edwards’s company. It is not known if he served the Texan forces in the capacity of a physician. He was severely wounded in the Siege of Béxar. On January 1, 1836, he was listed as a member of Capt. John Chenoweth’s company. His wounds may have prevented him from playing an active role in the defense of the Alamo. He died in the battle of the Alamo on March 6, 1836.
Ryan, Isaac
Isaac Ryan was born 1805 in Louisiana. He took part in the Siege of Béxar and served in the Alamo garrison as a member of Capt. Robert White’s infantry company, the Béxar Guards. Ryan died in the battle of the Alamo on March 6, 1836.
Warnell, Henry
Henry Warnell was born in 1812. In January 1835 he settled in Bastrop, where he lived with and worked for Edward Burleson. Warnell took part in the Siege of Béxar and later served in the Alamo garrison as a member of Capt. William R. Carey’s artillery company. There is some evidence that he escaped from the Alamo during the battle of March 6, 1836, but died in Port Lavaca in June 1836 from wounds received in the battle.
