The 2006 Siege of Bexar Descendants meeting was held in the Alamo Hall located behind the Alamo church. Many stayed at the Menger Hotel and had breakfast and lunch there as a group.

Colonel Moore was elected Colonel Commandant of the Army of Texas on October 11, 1835 in Gonzales, the same day Stephen F.
