Richard Brewer says
Interesting to note that George and Abe Lincoln were born near each other in KY and moved to Illinois about same time then both fought in the Black Hawk war in 1832 in Illinois Militia. George was a 1st Lt and Abe was a Private. George came to Texas in 1834. They were sworn into the militia by then Lt Robert Anderson who would later surrender Ft Sumter as a Maj to start the War Between the States.
